Music is a curriculum entitlement for all children in our school. In the Pre-prep department two full afternoons are given to it with emphasis on singing and participation. Performance is encouraged at an early age and continues through the school with a programme of recitals, concerts, informal recitals and large scale productions. All through the Prep school music is taught to all children, in our music room which is equipped with a 7 PC suite of computers all equipped with "Sibelius", the music software package. There is also an extensive range of extra activities to participate in. We have a junior and senior choir, as well as a Pre-prep choir. There is a wind band, a string orchestra and a full orchestra. To facilitate these ensembles there are individual instrumental tuition lessons offered at a reasonable rate in instruments from all areas of the orchestra. We believe that if there is music in your child we can bring it out. We also have, of course the boys of Cathedral Choir in our midst. They receive tuition on the piano, often another instrument, as well as their voice. They rehearse and practice every day and sing 7 services a week in the Cathedral.
